This role is for a dedicated Service Technician specializing in the electrical engineering of large medical imaging systems, specifically PET/CT and SPECT systems, within the Cologne/Bonn region and potentially across North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). The technician will be responsible for field service, focusing on troubleshooting functional faults, interpreting alarm messages, and implementing hardware and software corrections at customer sites, including university hospitals and private practices. A key component of the job involves ensuring high system availability, performing maintenance, and managing the entire service order process with a focus on customer satisfaction and economic efficiency. Required Skills
Education
Vocational training in electrical engineering or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Certification as a qualified electrician (must meet requirements to be appointed shortly). Radiation Protection expertise (Fachkunde für Strahlenschutz nach StrlSchG) is desirable.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Service Technician or in a comparable role
- Experience with PET and SPECT systems is advantageous
- Willingness to undergo necessary training (welcoming newcomers to medical technology)
- Medical technology understanding is beneficial
- Existing industry, product, and solution knowledge in medical technology is ideal
Languages
Additional
- Must reside near the service area (Cologne/Bonn) or be willing to relocate. Requires a Class B driving license. 100% travel readiness within the service region (Cologne/Bonn and potentially all of NRW). Requires on-call duty and flexibility in working hours.
