Job Summary

This role involves acting as the central point of contact for technical support and troubleshooting rail vehicle malfunctions, specifically within the S-Bahn Munich project. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing and locating faults using specialized diagnostic tools, executing initial corrective measures, managing tasks via a ticketing system, and developing maintenance recommendations to ensure vehicle availability. The expert will also support engineering teams with software testing, product development, and technical inquiries, participate in commissioning, conduct system and type inspections, and assist with vehicle approvals. Key requirements include a technical Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent, or a relevant technical vocational qualification with a specialist IT degree and multi-year experience in rail vehicle IT. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of network and IT technologies (TCP/IP, VPN, Linux) and be proficient in German and English, with readiness for on-call duty and approximately 60% business travel.
