Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Food Chemist to join the Institute for Food Quality at LUFA Nord-West in Oldenburg, Germany. The position, initially a one-year fixed-term contract covering parental leave, involves critical responsibilities in food law compliance and quality assessment. Day-to-day tasks include the food law assessment of labeling and analytical results, drafting expert opinions, and managing client relationships with manufacturers and trade customers regarding food legislation. The successful candidate will collaborate across chemical and microbiological laboratory departments and support laboratory management in chemical and instrumental analysis. Key qualifications include a degree in (Food) Chemistry, preferably as a certified Food Chemist, coupled with strong analytical skills, expertise in food law, and proficiency in laboratory software and LIMS.
