Job Summary

This Project Engineer role in Leverkusen focuses on upgrading and ensuring the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of the Film Coating Plant (FCP), particularly supporting the growing demand for holographic light-guiding films. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing self-managed projects (FEL3 + Execution), coordinating internal aspects of external projects, and contributing to concept development (FEL1) and scope definition (FEL2A). Key responsibilities include ensuring technical compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements, managing project costs, and supporting continuous technological improvement across operations. The role requires a university degree in engineering (Process, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Chemical) and extensive experience (5+ years) in engineering, maintenance, or production within the chemical or a comparable industry, paired with strong project management and leadership skills. This position offers an attractive starting salary between €77,600 and €93,900 per year plus a variable component.
