Job Summary

Covestro is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Head of Electrical Engineering within the global Process Control Technology (PCT) organization. This key role involves leading the Electrical Group in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and driving the global Electrical Engineering Community. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing worldwide electrical strategies, standards, and governance frameworks to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient operation of production plants globally. The successful candidate will manage a team of electrical engineers, oversee high- and medium-voltage (HV/MV) projects, manage strategic supplier relationships, and serve as a key member of the Global PCT Leadership Team. This position requires deep expertise in electrical power supply and drive technology, strong people leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering domain, actively supporting transformation initiatives across the organization. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum equivalent to Master of Science or higher) or comparable scientific/technical qualification

Experience

  • 10+ years of professional experience in the process industry or related industries
  • International experience required
  • Proven experience in personnel leadership and international collaboration
  • Experience in investment projects (Greenfield and Brownfield) across various project phases
  • Practical experience in plant support/operation, maintenance, or asset management (Ideally)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complexity and decision-making under uncertainty
