Job Summary

This permanent, on-site role seeks a Technical Assistant to join a growing Production Proteins team in Freiburg, focusing on Upstream Processing for manufacturing critical raw materials used in cell therapy. The core responsibilities involve executing production campaigns up to 20 L scale using single-use and stainless steel bioreactors for recombinant protein generation. A crucial aspect of the job is the detailed planning and execution of GMP-compliant small-scale production, ensuring strict adherence to GMP guidelines, the Gene Technology Act (GenTG), and ISO standards. You will also manage equipment responsibility for technical systems and contribute to documentation, deviation management (CAPAs, OOX), and internal projects. Candidates must have completed vocational training as a Laboratory Technician or Technical Assistant, possess professional experience in animal cell culture or bacterial fermentation, and be proficient with USP equipment. Initial experience working in cleanrooms under GMP/GenTG regulations is essential, alongside fluent German skills.
