Job Summary
The Waterways and Shipping Administration of the Federal Government is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in Energy or Automation Technology for a full-time, temporary position based in Heidelberg, focusing on the maintenance of the Schwabenheim Lock. This role involves the comprehensive planning and execution of electrical systems for lock facilities, including energy, control, and communications technology. Key responsibilities include preparing technical reports, managing procurement processes (VgV and UVgO contracts), overseeing construction, and ensuring technical coordination across massive construction, steel hydraulic engineering, and mechanical engineering trades. Candidates must hold a relevant university degree (FH/Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering and possess practical professional experience. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of automation systems, procurement law, and CAD, demonstrating strong autonomy, initiative, and communication skills to successfully manage complex infrastructure projects.
