Job Summary
This role seeks an Electrical Engineer, specializing in Automation or Power Systems, to join the Waterways and Shipping Administration (WNA) in Heidelberg on a temporary, full-time basis. The primary focus is managing the electrical engineering aspects of the 'Repair of the Schwabenheim Lock' project. Core responsibilities include the planning, procurement, and execution of electrical systems for lock infrastructure, encompassing power, control, and communication technologies. Day-to-day duties involve preparing technical reports, managing VgV and UVgO contracts (including bid evaluation and settlement), and rigorously monitoring and accepting construction and installation work. A key function is managing technical interfaces with civil, mechanical, and hydraulic steel engineering teams. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and possess practical professional experience, ideally several years in automation or power technology, along with knowledge of PLCs and relevant safety standards. This position offers involvement in critical federal infrastructure projects and promotes work-life balance through flexible working options.
