Job Summary

This role places you at the heart of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of high-voltage systems within wind farms across Continental Europe, monitored from Norddeich. As a Control Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating all high-voltage switching operations in accordance with Ørsted Electrical Safety Rules. Day-to-day tasks involve acting as an authorized switchgear operator, monitoring SCADA systems, coordinating with the offshore team and national grid operators (TenneT), and managing fault identification and resolution, including creating work orders in SAP. You will also contribute to safety by participating in risk assessments and instructing external contractors on electrical safety rules. The ideal candidate possesses a professional qualification in electrical engineering, experience with high and/or medium voltage switching operations, strong IT user skills, and excellent communication abilities in both English and German, demonstrating a systematic and reliable approach even under pressure.
