Job Summary
This PhD position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge reproductive biology research within the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre 1748 in Münster. The successful candidate will focus on testicular stem cells using advanced organoid systems under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Stefan Schlatt. Daily responsibilities include executing complex cell and organoid culture systems using primary tissues, deriving primordial germ cell-like cells from pluripotent precursors, and utilizing advanced laboratory techniques such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescent staining. The role also requires performing live digital imaging and comprehensive single-cell characterization using scRNA-seq and qRT-PCR assays. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Biology or Biochemistry, possess experience in animal experimentation or cell/tissue culture systems, and demonstrate high motivation for scientific work. The position is attractive due to its embedding in a competitive, interdisciplinary, and international research environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure and the option of participating in a structured PhD training program.
