Job Summary

This role involves joining the specialized Engineering department for traction systems in regional rail vehicles at Siemens Mobility. The Traction Engineer will be responsible for designing the drive equipment and on-board power supply systems, managing engineering tasks from the proposal phase through warranty. Key daily activities include independently clarifying technical requirements with sales units and international customers, analyzing customer and regulatory requirements for traction and power supply systems, and developing optimized systems through simulations, calculations, and component specifications. Furthermore, the role requires specifying and accompanying vehicle testing, evaluating measurement results, and creating safety documentation and technical documents for vehicle certification. The ideal candidate must possess a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive professional experience in rail vehicle drive systems, coupled with negotiation-level proficiency in both German and English to manage international interfaces effectively.
