Job Summary

This role is critical for ensuring the electrical supply of essential rail infrastructure across Germany, involving nationwide travel. The Service Technician will primarily focus on the maintenance, inspection, and fault resolution of railway energy supply systems, including converter stations for long-distance rail (16.7Hz), DC substations for local transport (S-, U-, and streetcars), and charging infrastructure for public e-mobility. Day-to-day tasks involve independently executing product and system-specific service work, ensuring system availability, and meticulously documenting technical conditions and service reports. Candidates must have a completed electro-technical vocational training, preferably as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering, coupled with professional experience in rail or industrial energy supply. The position requires strong technical expertise in AC/DC switchgear, transformers, converters, and grid protection technology, alongside readiness for scheduled 24/7 on-call duty.
