Job Summary

This role involves independently managing large-scale international offshore projects, overseeing them from technical clarification through to final acceptance. The Project Manager will focus specifically on Cost Groups 450 (Fire Alarm Systems, Extinguishing Systems) and 480 (Building Automation) for platforms manufactured across Asia, the UAE, and Europe before deployment in the North or Baltic Sea. Key responsibilities include defining project strategy, planning phases, and ensuring timely, economic, and technical realization while managing risks and opportunities. The successful candidate will serve as the primary contact for global clients, coordinate with suppliers and internal departments, and handle project controlling and joint cost calculations with commercial project management. This position requires long-term professional experience in MSR (Measurement, Control, and Regulation) or safety technology project leadership, strong knowledge of building technology, and willingness to travel internationally approximately 30% of the time during critical project phases.

Required Skills

Education

Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Building Automation, or equivalent. Alternatively, completed vocational training with further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Technician.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in the execution and leadership of MSR or safety technology projects of various sizes
  • Routinely handling project execution
  • Professional experience with contract law and claim management
  • Project management certification is desirable
