Job Summary
This Senior Engineer role focuses on developing and implementing complex, customized automation and IT solutions for control systems on Offshore High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) platforms located in the German North and Baltic Seas. The daily work involves conceptualizing, planning, and commissioning SIMATIC S7 automation systems and related IT solutions, including visualization and remote control. The engineer manages the technical implementation from the initial concept phase through to final commissioning, working closely with international partners and customers. Key responsibilities include creating project specifications, supporting the sales phase with technical concepts, and conducting careful commissioning both at partner sites and offshore. The ideal candidate must possess several years of professional experience in electrical engineering or automation technology, specifically with SIMATIC solutions, TIA, and PCS7, and be prepared for national, international, and multi-week offshore assignments.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or comparable field, OR a technical vocational qualification combined with long-term relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology
- Several years of relevant experience in the conception, planning, and implementation of complex, user-specific SIMATIC automation solutions
- Experience working in project teams for large projects
- Long-term relevant professional experience in automation technology (alternative to degree)
