Job Summary

This role is ideal for a Junior Specialist Planner looking to drive the modernization and digitalization of German rail transport within Siemens Mobility, a leader in the mobility sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the renewal of Control and Safety Technology (CST) across Deutsche Bahn routes, contributing to innovative digital CST solutions (dLST). Day-to-day responsibilities include creating planning documents for all performance phases related to electronic interlocking systems (ESTW/DSTW), ETCS, train reporting systems (ZN), train control (ZL), and level crossing safety systems (BÜSA). You will work in hybrid teams, promoting digital planning approaches, and collaborating with experienced colleagues to deepen your knowledge of signaling and level crossing technologies. This position requires a degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent technical qualification, initial professional experience in PT1 specialist planning, and strong German communication skills. The role offers the chance to be involved from digital surveying through planning, testing, project planning, assembly, and commissioning, making a tangible impact on sustainable and seamless mobility.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Control and Safety Technology, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field with an electrical engineering focus; OR State-certified Technician or Industrial Master in Control and Safety Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Communications Engineering.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in PT1 specialist planning
  • Professional experience in maintenance or assembly of CST systems (alternative qualification route)
