Join a global team at Siemens Healthineers as a Gradient Coil and Shim Design Engineer, focusing on shaping the future of MR technology. This role involves developing gradient coils and shim systems based on innovative architectural and integration concepts, driving the creation of Digital Twins and simulations for these components and their interaction with other MR system parts (like magnets). You will work autonomously within a cross-functional, agile team, collaborating closely with construction, project management, system architecture, and software/hardware development teams. Key responsibilities include observing technological trends, accompanying components from initial concept through the entire development process to successful series introduction, and ensuring project goals (schedule, cost, quality) are met. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, extensive professional experience in electrodynamics and electromagnetism, and proficiency in specialized simulation software like Matlab and Ansys. This position offers significant flexibility, allowing up to 60% mobile work within Germany.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, ideally with a focus on applied electrodynamics and electromagnetism; Alternatively, a PhD combined with several years of professional experience in this area.
Experience
- Many years of professional experience in electrodynamics and electromagnetism (e.g., high-voltage technology, simulation, and computer-aided modeling)
- Experience in the entire development process from concept to successful series introduction
- Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams
- Relevant knowledge in Magnetic Resonance Tomography (MRT) is advantageous
- Experience as a responsible electrical specialist for the Gradient Coil and Shim team (if qualified)

- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally approximately 10%; Ability to work remotely up to 60% within Germany; Chinese language skills are a plus.
