Job Summary

This role is critical for ensuring secure grid operation by focusing on the maintenance and diagnosis of large transformers and compensation reactors within substations across the 50Hertz network. The Electrical Engineer will coordinate and execute scheduled maintenance, repair, and diagnostic activities, actively contributing to the reliability of the power grid and the success of the energy transition. Key responsibilities include analyzing measurement data, evaluating asset conditions, and deriving technical recommendations for repairs in collaboration with specialists. The position requires a degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering, several years of experience in transformer maintenance and diagnosis, and the ability to manage external service providers. The role involves regular, multi-day business trips with overnight stays throughout the network area, demanding a high degree of travel readiness and an independent, practice-oriented work style.

Experience

  • Several years of experience in transformer maintenance and diagnosis
  • Experience in handling standard work equipment (work platforms, transformer oil management, etc.)
  • Experience with technical guidance and support of team colleagues
