Job Summary
This role seeks an engaged Environmental Engineer to join the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, supporting Germany's largest distribution network operator in Dortmund or Essen. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the energy transition and strengthening regional infrastructure by ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include independently advising management and departments on specialized topics such as waste disposal, soil and water protection, and hazardous goods/materials management. The engineer will also be responsible for the conceptual development of hazardous materials management, integrating new environmental and hazardous substance regulations, and designing and conducting relevant training programs. This position requires a background in engineering, natural, or environmental sciences, professional experience in the core subject areas, and a proactive approach to optimizing processes and driving change within a supportive and flexible work environment.

Education
University degree in Engineering Sciences, Natural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent qualification
Experience
- • Professional experience in waste disposal, soil and water protection, and hazardous goods/materials management is preferred
Languages

- Valid Class B driver's license; Willingness to travel within the Westnetz area
