Job Summary

This role involves developing and operating secure, scalable, cloud-native backend services for GEA’s Smart Services division, focusing on processing machine data via an IoT infrastructure connected to the cloud. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end development of features, utilizing Python (FastAPI) within a Microsoft Azure environment. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing REST APIs with robust authentication (Azure Entra ID B2C), modeling and optimizing various databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and ensuring high standards of security (OWASP Top 10) and observability. Applicants should have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, coupled with professional experience in backend development using Python or similar stacks, and deep practical knowledge of Azure services, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
