Job Summary

This Senior IT Technician role involves taking responsibility for the daily operation, monitoring, and continuous development of the datacenter infrastructure in Augsburg. The successful candidate will be hands-on, managing server and network systems, performing hardware rack installations (servers, switches, storage, UPS), and ensuring meticulous cabling and documentation according to standards (Copper & Fiber Optics). A key aspect of the role is automation, utilizing scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) and tools like Ansible and Terraform across Unix/Linux and Windows environments. You will also be responsible for implementing and operating Linux-based hypervisors (e.g., Proxmox VE), container/Kubernetes infrastructures, and cloud environments (OpenStack, Azure, AWS). This position requires expertise in RZ-specific procedures like patching, power management, and climate control, alongside providing 2nd-level hands-on support to analyze and resolve technical faults, ensuring high SLA compliance and security standards.
