Job Summary
This role is a cutting-edge experimental research position focused on developing high-power laser technology critical for a major fusion energy project. The Postdoctoral Researcher will utilize a recently completed Ph.D. (within the last five years) in physics, photonics, or a related engineering field, applying a strong track record in experimental high-power laser physics. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, simulating, and operating advanced laser systems. Expertise in specific architectures such as cryogenic lasers, Yb:YAG/YLF, or OPCPA is highly valued, alongside proficiency in simulation and design software, including Python, Comsol, and CAD. The successful candidate must possess a strong drive for innovation and excellent communication skills in English to thrive in this international research environment, contributing directly to next-generation energy technology.
