Job Summary
This role is for an Electrical Engineer specializing in automation technology and machine safety, acting as the CE Representative within the Transport Technology Product Center in Dortmund. The primary focus involves ensuring compliance with CE standards by creating, reviewing, and maintaining safety lists, and conducting safety assessments of machinery and layouts. Day-to-day tasks include checking safety software, clarifying safety issues for construction and design teams, processing customer specifications, and maintaining safety standards. Key requirements include a technical education (Technician or Engineering degree), significant professional experience in machine and plant safety technology, and expertise in CE topics. Candidates should also possess knowledge of Siemens TIA control systems (especially Safety Integrated) and ePlan P8, along with familiarity with network infrastructure (Switches, Firewall). This position offers the opportunity to apply specialized safety engineering knowledge within a world-leading manufacturer of filling and packaging systems.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical training with further qualification as a state-certified technician, or a successfully completed university degree in engineering, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience, particularly with the safety technology of machines and plants
- Professional experience in handling CE topics is required
