Job Summary

This Senior Quantitative Genetics Scientist role involves leading the development, implementation, and refinement of quantitative genetics innovations within the product design pipeline, primarily focusing on crop science. The scientist will be responsible for translating quantitative genetics strategy into improved germplasm cohorts, ensuring alignment with product concept goals from initial crosses through product development handoff. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Quantitative Genetics or a related field with significant relevant experience, coupled with proven success in deriving and implementing quantitative genetic theories into code and applying algorithms in areas like breeding program optimization or genetic evaluation. The position requires strong leadership skills within cross-functional, multicultural teams across global regions (LATAM, EMEA, APAC) to drive genetic progress and product performance in specific crops.

Required Skills

Education

PhD in Quantitative Genetics, Plant Breeding, Animal Breeding, or a comparable natural science subject; OR Master's degree in a relevant field with long-term practical experience.

Experience
