This role seeks an engaged COBOL Software Developer to join an eight-person team, playing an essential part in maintaining and evolving the core system for a major German Building Society (Bausparkasse). Day-to-day responsibilities include the conception and development of new COBOL programs, alongside the maintenance and adaptation of existing applications to meet new business requirements. The developer will also be responsible for creating data evaluations using SQL and coordinating closely with Business Analysts to implement functional requirements. Successful candidates must possess a strong IT background, either through education or a degree, coupled with practical experience in COBOL programming.
