Job Summary

Join a dedicated eleven-person team within the Infrastructure as a Service IT department of a leading German insurance and banking group as a Datacenter Network Administrator. This essential role focuses on maintaining and advancing core network technologies, ensuring the quality, stability, and future viability of the IT infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating, monitoring, and maintaining critical IT services, managing system utilization (including performance tuning), and ensuring information security compliance based on defined service levels. Key activities also involve updating documentation, evaluating and implementing new network components, coordinating production workflows, and resolving complex disturbances. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or equivalent training, coupled with professional experience in Routing and Switching, Cisco IOS/NXOS, and familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and Python. Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to clearly present technical concepts, and a commitment to agile methodologies and thorough documentation.
