Job Summary

This critical role involves supervising the operation and maintenance of high-voltage switchgear and substations for Hamburg's largest energy distribution network operator. The High Voltage Electrical Operations Supervisor will be instrumental in fulfilling operational responsibilities, focusing heavily on functional integrity, traffic safety obligations, and occupational safety (Arbeitssicherheit). Daily tasks include executing switching operations, acting as the designated plant manager (according to VDE 0105-100 standards), coordinating and instructing both internal and external personnel, and taking site management responsibility for assigned facilities. A key aspect is coordinating and monitoring commissioning processes and rapidly resolving network faults across the entire supply area. Candidates must possess a certified Master Craftsman or Technician qualification in Electrical Engineering, ideally complemented by experience and authorization in high-voltage switching. The position requires a Class B driver's license, readiness for on-call duty, and the ability to work safely in challenging environments, including at heights and while using breathing apparatus.
