Job Summary

This role is critical for maintaining and evolving the core communication infrastructure of a major energy provider in Hamburg. The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for the architecture and continuous development of Datacenter networks, encompassing LAN, WLAN, WAN, Internet, and VPN technologies. Key daily tasks involve designing, building, and operating communication infrastructures for both data centers and client systems. The role requires providing expert consultation on IT and telecommunications communication paths, ensuring integration with existing security concepts, and delivering 2nd- and 3rd-level technical support. Furthermore, the engineer will lead infrastructure projects, document system architecture, and train IT colleagues. Ideal candidates possess a MINT degree or equivalent qualification, coupled with several years of professional experience in network and telecommunications infrastructure, particularly in Software Defined Network (SDN) environments.
