Job Summary

This role involves leading the planning and execution of critical railway infrastructure projects, specifically focusing on interlocking systems (Stellwerk) and future European Train Control System (ETCS) implementation on existing routes for DB InfraGO AG. The Project Engineer will manage the entire project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and quality standards, from planning and procurement through construction, acceptance, and commissioning. Key responsibilities include coordinating all project stakeholders—including planning offices, construction companies, and regulatory authorities like the EBA (Federal Railway Authority)—and managing technical requirements for control and safety technology, railway crossings, and telecommunications. The ideal candidate is a proactive organizer with an engineering background (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Railway Traffic) and proven experience in project management and relevant railway safety technologies, ready to contribute to securing the future of European rail transport.
