The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting initial, advanced, and continuing education programs for track maintenance employees, particularly those working on track switches. Key activities include delivering practical training sessions, applying innovative teaching methods, and developing training concepts to secure specialized knowledge. Ideal candidates have a background as a Track Mechanic, Electrician, or Track Builder, with vocational experience in track maintenance, troubleshooting, and ideally, deep knowledge of track switches. This position offers a structured development path with pedagogical and operational seminars to prepare the individual for a crucial training role, ensuring high-quality maintenance standards across the rail network.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Track Mechanic, Electrician, or Track Builder. Alternatively, Master Craftsman (Meister) in Track or Track Construction (IHK) or willingness to acquire this qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of track systems (Fahrbahn)
  • Experience or deep knowledge in the area of track switches (Weichen)
  • Ideally, training experience or an Instructor Aptitude Certificate (Ausbildereignungsschein)
