Job Summary

This role involves commissioning station control technology, protection, and telecontrol systems within industrial and energy supply networks. The engineer will manage the entire lifecycle, from customer coordination, project planning, and parameterization, through testing, to the final commissioning of these complex systems. Key responsibilities also include functional testing of switchgear, particularly protection testing, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of energy supply systems. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to sustainable digitalization projects in energy automation and continuously develop expertise. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Engineering, advanced knowledge of telecontrol and station control systems, and extensive experience commissioning medium and high-voltage switchgear. The role requires strong analytical skills for troubleshooting, a customer-oriented approach, and willingness to travel primarily for day assignments in the greater Frankfurt area.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably specializing in Power Engineering (Energietechnik)

Experience

  • Comprehensive experience in commissioning medium and high-voltage switchgear
  • Advanced knowledge of telecontrol and station control systems
  • Sound knowledge in testing protection systems for reliable energy supply operation
  • Experience implementing innovative solutions in digital control technology/digital network protection
