Job Summary

The German Cancer Research Center is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join their interdisciplinary team, focusing on longitudinal proteomic analysis. This role involves performing comprehensive proteomic analysis on existing rat prostate carcinoma tissue samples, specifically those irradiated with carbon ions, protons, and photons. Key responsibilities include tissue preparation for Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectroscopy (LC-MS), followed by biostatistical analysis of protein expression profiles and experimental validation of findings in tissue sections. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both experimental proteomics and computational data science, with expertise in LC-MS/MS workflows and long-term cohort studies. This position offers a unique opportunity to bridge experimental proteomics with data-driven insights, contributing significantly to cancer research and understanding the differential biological action of various radiation beams.
