Job Summary
This permanent position is ideal for an IT professional looking to specialize in second-level support within a modern IT service provider based near Cologne. The core responsibility involves analyzing, testing, and resolving complex IT issues efficiently using a ticket system. Day-to-day tasks include processing diverse service requests, managing software installations, and performing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of client devices and peripherals. You will play a crucial role in ensuring IT security by identifying and implementing necessary measures, as well as contributing to hardware/software rollouts and various IT projects. Candidates must possess a completed IT-related degree or vocational training, or be a career changer with strong practical experience. The role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and offers attractive benefits including flexible working hours (flextime) and the possibility of two days of home office per week after the initial onboarding phase.
