Job Summary

This role involves maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting test benches and associated operational and plant technology within the research and development sector, specifically in vehicle technology. The Test Bench Electronics Technician will be responsible for locating, analyzing, and resolving malfunctions in programs across various PLC and contactor controls, as well as electrical and mechatronic systems. A key part of the job is implementing improvements, such as modifications and optimizations, to eliminate weak points, and meticulously documenting all changes, often utilizing EPLAN. The ideal candidate must possess qualifications as a certified electrician for systems up to 1000V AC / 1500V DC, coupled with strong expertise in Siemens S7 control technology, TIA Portal, and Measurement, Control, and Regulation (MCR) technology. This full-time, permanent position in Nuremberg offers a 35-hour work week, flextime, and a challenging environment with high levels of personal responsibility.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a Plant Electrician, Industrial Mechatronics Technician, or comparable qualification; Qualified Electrician for systems up to 1000V AC / 1500V DC

Experience

  • Professional experience with Sauter controls (desirable)
  • Professional experience with drive technology (desirable)
  • Experience in locating, analyzing, and resolving malfunctions in control programs
  • Experience with documentation of modifications and changes
