Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position as a Technical Assistant is based at a renowned pharmaceutical company in Biberach. The core focus of the role is the precise execution of complex microbiological analyses, including aseptic techniques, strictly adhering to GMP regulations. Daily responsibilities involve the preparation, execution, and evaluation of analytical tests, providing crucial operational support, and conducting specialized tasks such as troubleshooting analytical systems. Furthermore, the assistant will be involved in training colleagues on system usage, supporting critical method validation and qualification efforts, and contributing to the optimization and assessment of new analytical technologies. Candidates must possess a completed scientific laboratory education (e.g., BTA, MTA, CTA, PTA, or certified Laboratory Technician) coupled with several years of relevant professional experience, specifically within a microbiological and GMP environment. The role requires strong communication skills, self-reliance, fluency in English, and flexibility to work variable shifts, including early/late shifts, weekends, and on-call duties.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific training as a Biological Laboratory Technician, Chemical Laboratory Technician, Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), or Pharmaceutical Technical Assistant (PTA), or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience as a scientific laboratory technician (Biologielaborant, Chemielaborant) OR long-term professional experience with BTA, MTA, CTA, PTA certification
  • Professional experience in a microbiological environment
  • Experience working under GMP conditions
