Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the highest safety and security standards are met at a radioactive waste interim storage facility. The Master Technician/Engineer will primarily control and monitor object security services, ensuring compliance with guarding duties. A significant part of the job includes inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical, control, mechanical, and structural facilities on site. The position requires the ability to act decisively in emergency situations, initiating necessary immediate measures, and constantly representing the operating company on location. Candidates must possess a Master Technician/Engineer qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Security and Protection, and be prepared to work in a continuous rotating shift system. This is a critical, permanent position within a growing federal company focused on sustainable nuclear waste management in Germany.

Required Skills

Education

Master Technician (Meister) or Technical Engineer (Techniker) degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Protection and Security, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in maintenance of electro-technical, control-technical, mechanical, or structural facilities
  • Experience in monitoring security services and ensuring compliance
  • Experience in decision-making and initiating immediate measures in emergency situations
