Job Summary

This role involves supporting the city of Berlin's efforts to become a leader in urban mobility and innovation by focusing on the economic policy aspects of mobility. The officer will primarily manage the financial and administrative aspects of innovation projects and project grants, including reviewing application documents, preparing grant notices, and auditing usage reports in compliance with grant law. A core responsibility is coordinating and processing budgetary affairs, financial overviews, and reporting obligations within the Mobility department. Furthermore, the role requires conceptualizing, managing, and implementing public relations activities for the department, including supporting the preparation of events and appointments. Ideal candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Administrative or Economic Sciences and strong knowledge of budgetary and grant law, coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or comparable qualification in Administrative Sciences or Economic Sciences; Alternatively, qualification for the first entry-level position of career group 2 of the general non-technical administrative service (for civil servants).

Experience

  • Professional experience in grant law and administration
  • Experience with economic policy funding instruments
  • Experience in coordinating and processing budgetary affairs and financial reporting

Additional
