Job Summary

This role involves specialized technical material management, focusing heavily on compliance, classification, and data integrity within an engineering environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include the independent classification and assignment of customs tariff numbers, managing GTIN and GS1 numbers, and handling quality reports in collaboration with technical departments. A key function is the evaluation and implementation of replacement materials for obsolete components, ensuring compliance with legal and normative requirements such as REACH and RoHS. The specialist will maintain and quality-assure material master data, provide expert technical support to development teams on material-related issues, and assist in cost estimation for development and change processes. Candidates should possess a background in electrical engineering (e.g., information or system electronics), preferably supplemented by advanced technical training or a MINT/engineering degree, coupled with initial professional experience and proficiency in SAP.

Required Skills

Education

Vocational training in Electrical Engineering (e.g., Information Electronics, System Electronics) supplemented by further training as a Technician or Master, or a university degree in MINT or a similar engineering science.
