Job Summary
This role is for an Acoustics Expert (Lärmsachverständige:r) within the Environmental Protection and State Laboratory department in Salzburg, focusing on noise pollution control and air quality. The successful candidate will be instrumental in official administrative procedures, translating complex measurements and models into legally sound expert reports, particularly concerning road noise. Day-to-day tasks include drafting detailed reports for environmental impact assessments (UVP) and waste management procedures, modeling and evaluating road and ambient noise in spatial planning, ensuring quality-assured interpretation of noise measurement data, and independently developing environmental noise concepts. This position offers a stable, long-term career in public service with high societal value, focused on ensuring a healthy and quiet environment for the region.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree at Master's level in Physics, Environmental Engineering, Traffic Engineering with a focus on Noise, Environment & Traffic, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Practical experience in acoustics and noise measurement technology (Desirable)
- Professional experience in the independent creation of expert reports (Desirable)
- Experience using relevant software (e.g., CadnaA, IMMI) (Desirable)
