Job Summary

This role is for an IT System Administrator in Bochum, focusing on optimizing IT operational processes and ensuring robust network and system monitoring, with a strong emphasis on automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, administering, and scaling Linux servers, and supporting container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. They will collaborate closely with developers and other administrators on planning and managing web applications, and be involved in evaluating, procuring, and setting up hardware and software solutions, including workstation configurations. A key aspect of the role is the conceptualization and implementation of IT operations and security projects, alongside advising internal stakeholders on software solutions, system architecture, and IT processes. This position requires a strong technical background, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills in both German and English.
