Job Summary

This role is critical for ensuring the smooth, robust, and high-performance operation of a complex, automated WAN and Core infrastructure spanning five data centers across Germany. As the 'network glue,' you will be responsible for the design, operation, and continuous development of the core network infrastructure, including backbone, routing core, and data center interconnects. You will collaborate closely with other infrastructure teams to consolidate the cloud and network stack, contributing to architecture and design work, and selecting appropriate hardware and software components. Key responsibilities include administering and troubleshooting network resources—configuring and monitoring switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers—and maintaining comprehensive documentation. This position is ideal for a professional ready to take on significant responsibility in a complex infrastructure environment, actively contributing to the evolution of the network using modern approaches like GitOps and CI/CD pipelines. Strong experience with dynamic routing protocols and core network architectures is essential.
