Job Summary
This role involves driving the digital transformation of the Hannover region's administration by acting as the crucial link between internal organizational units (customers) and IT service providers. The Digital Manager will take responsibility for leading and implementing various IT and digitalization projects, such as software introductions and online services. Key daily activities include managing IT procurement processes, controlling budgets and resources, and steering stakeholders. A core function is translating complex administrative requirements into practical, user-friendly digital solutions and managing the associated change processes. Furthermore, the manager will be tasked with exploring, conceptualizing, and implementing innovative technologies like AI and process automation to continually enhance the IT infrastructure and improve services for residents and employees. This is an exciting, permanent position offering security and the chance to actively shape the future of public administration.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Public Management, Business Administration, or (Business) Informatics; or qualification for career group 2, first entry level (e.g., Diploma in Administrative/Business Administration, Bachelor in General Administration); or passed Second Employee Examination
Experience
- Several years of professional experience based on the required qualifications
- Experience in Project Management, ideally in the IT sector
