Job Summary

This role involves working as an Electrical Engineer specializing in planning telecommunications projects for DB InfraGO, focusing on nationwide digital ITK infrastructure within the railway sector. The Planner will independently develop design, approval, and execution plans for stable technical systems, including digital rail technology (e.g., GSM-R), optical passenger information systems, copper and fiber optic cabling, video and WLAN systems, and hazard detection systems. Key responsibilities include creating technical and economic solution concepts, supporting project management with scheduling and resource planning, ensuring compliance with relevant laws (like HOAI and VOB), and managing the complete process from tendering and contract awarding to negotiation. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering and possesses relevant planning experience in cable, transmission, and IP technology, along with strong analytical and conceptual skills.

Required Skills

Education

University degree, Technical College degree, or certification as a Technician or Master in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Technology, or Information Technology/Communications Engineering

Experience

  • Professional planning experience in cable, transmission, and IP technology
  • Knowledge of telecommunications systems
  • Initial knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to construction projects (e.g., HOAI, VOB, VV BAU STE)
