Job Summary

The Technical University of Deggendorf, a global leader in robot-based Computed Tomography (CT), is seeking a PhD Candidate to advance their Robot-CT system, which is used for quality inspection of large components in the automotive and aerospace industries. This role focuses heavily on applied research in image processing and robotics. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing methods for image data denoising and defect segmentation, implementing algorithms for Robot-CT control, conducting CT scans with industry partners, and supervising students. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in a relevant technical or scientific field and possesses strong knowledge of programming and image processing, coupled with an interest in robotics, sensor technology, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Required Skills

Education
