Job Summary

This critical role at a steel-producing manufacturing plant in Brandenburg an der Havel focuses on optimizing and overseeing the entire steel production process. The Steel Mill Technologist is tasked with the continuous improvement of key performance indicators (KPIs), including production output, consumption, losses, and minimizing disruptions. Day-to-day duties involve monitoring the production process, defining and implementing specific improvement measures, and ensuring the validity of periodic data in production reports. A key responsibility is driving technological innovation in processes and equipment by setting technical specifications and collaborating with both internal specialists and external experts. Candidates must possess a successfully completed university degree in Engineering Sciences, specializing in Metallurgy or Material Sciences, coupled with fundamental knowledge of materials science, metallography, and chemistry. Prior leadership experience is mandatory, and fluency in English is required for international collaboration. This position offers a competitive salary based on collective bargaining agreements, a 35-hour work week, and up to 35 days of annual leave.
