Job Summary

This role involves working as a Materials Tester specializing in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), specifically focusing on X-ray examinations, for Rheinmetall, a leading defense and security technology company in Unterlüß, Germany. The specialist will be responsible for the coordination, execution, and evaluation of X-ray testing, including handling explosives and hazardous components safely. Key daily tasks include planning and setting up testing configurations, managing the organizational and scheduling aspects of radiographic testing, analyzing data and images, generating test reports, and performing preventive maintenance on X-ray systems to ensure system availability. The ideal candidate must have a completed apprenticeship as a Materials Tester or a related technical field (such as Electronics, Mechatronics, or Industrial Mechanics), possess experience operating X-ray control software, and have specific knowledge of digital image processing and radiation protection standards for NDT.
