Job Summary

This role involves supporting the system control department of a major regional distribution network operator in Eastern Germany, focusing on ensuring a secure and robust power supply system, particularly in the context of achieving 100% renewable energy integration. The engineer will utilize their expertise to analyze complex processes within the meshed grid, ensuring compliance with system security specifications, and implementing these in operational practice. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive technical concepts for strategic alignment, coordinating with internal and external partners (including key customers), identifying optimization potential in network control, and actively participating in national research projects like OptiQU. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Electrical Engineering, professional experience in network control, and a strong technical understanding of energy supply, network operation, and regulatory frameworks, coupled with affinity for IT and modern control systems.
