Job Summary

This critical role at TÜV SÜD focuses on ensuring a safe and sustainable future by specializing in air pollution control and environmental compliance for industrial clients and municipalities. The Chemical Engineer will be responsible for creating expert reports and technical assessments related to air quality and emissions for complex permitting procedures (Immissionsschutz). Key daily tasks involve performing detailed stack height calculations and emission forecasts (Immissionsprognosen) for various industrial facilities, including chemical and large combustion plants. You will manage projects end-to-end, from initial proposal creation to final billing, and present technical findings and expert opinions to both clients and regulatory authorities. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering and ideally possesses 3-5 years of professional experience with German environmental legislation (BImSchG, TA Luft).
