Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Software Architect within the Information Technology department of the City of Würzburg, starting March 1, 2026. The professional will be responsible for overseeing specialized departmental procedures, leading IT projects, and managing the conception and introduction of complex, requirement-compliant software solutions. Key daily tasks include process analysis, adapting specialized procedures, setting up and configuring interfaces, and modeling processes to establish digital workflows integrated with a document management system. The position requires a background in IT, strong analytical skills, and experience in project management and system administration (operating systems, databases, virtualization). Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or Diploma (FH) in Computer Science or a related field with a focus/minor in Computer Science, OR equivalent vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist) with long-term professional experience, OR qualification exam for entry into the 3rd qualification level of the Natural Science and Technology career path, specialized in Administrative Informatics.

Experience

  • Professional experience corresponding to the activity profile (for candidates without a university degree)
