Job Summary

This role is crucial for implementing and maintaining IoT solutions in customer buildings, actively contributing to energy efficiency and CO2 reduction. As a Building Automation Technician, you will be responsible for the professional commissioning of hardware (sensors, actuators, gateways, and edge devices) on-site, ensuring seamless operation. Day-to-day tasks involve systematic technical infrastructure analysis, planning product integration, and integrating solutions into existing Building Automation Systems (BAS) using protocols like Modbus, BACnet, and Saia S-Bus. You will act as the central technical interface, providing qualified support to customers and partners, and meticulously documenting all installations and configurations. The ideal candidate possesses a technical background in electrical or automation engineering, profound practical experience in BAS commissioning, and fluency in German (C1) with good English skills (B2). This position offers the opportunity to drive the energy transition in buildings within an innovative tech company, requiring flexibility and approximately 40% travel.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or Technician qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology, Power Electronics, Plant Engineering, or Building Automation, or equivalent qualification.

Experience
