Job Summary

This role involves maintaining and ensuring the operational readiness of critical IT-supported systems within a federal German company responsible for the safe storage of radioactive waste. The Electronics Technician will be responsible for the continuous testing, maintenance, installation, and setup of networked and non-networked operational IT systems and equipment, such as crane and PLC controls. Key duties include contributing to IT security implementation, managing access control, and maintaining asset/inventory lists, alongside creating and updating essential system documentation. The ideal candidate holds a completed qualification as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering or Automation Technology, possesses foundational professional experience with PLC systems (e.g., Siemens Simatic S7), and has knowledge of operating systems and network infrastructures. This position is based on-site in Essenbach, requires a willingness to engage in continuous professional development, and offers the security of an unlimited contract within a growing, mission-critical organization.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering, Automation Technician, or comparable electro-technical qualification with broad IT expertise

Experience

  • Professional experience in handling Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), such as Siemens Simatic S7
  • Professional experience with operational IT applications
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of networked and non-networked technical systems
